TRAINING PLAN FOR BEGINNERS (Example Session)

RACE: 1 - 4km

TRAINING PLAN FOR NORMAL SWIMMERS (Example Session)

RACE: 5km

TRAINING PLAN FOR MARATHONS (Example Session)

RACE: 10km or more

Legend:

  • F or L - freestyle

  • ch - swim in a tecnique at your choose

  • w/ - with

  • Ar - Arms with pullboy and paddles

  • Kc - Kicking

  • rec. - recovery

  • bst - Breaststroke

  • M or But. - Butterfly

  • C or Back. - Backstroke

  • drills - exercises of tecnique

Intensity codes:

  • A1 - low aerobic swim (easy pace)

  • A2 - aerobic threshold like swim in a good pace for long distances

  • A3 / VO2 max. - Maximum velocity for that distance

  • Vel. - Velocity (speed training, with short distance series)

  • MPL - Maximum lactate prodution

  • TL - Lactate Tolerance

  • PL - Lactate Potence
