What you'll do
An epic swimming tour in one of the pearls of Portuguese territory, the Berlengas Archipelago.
Located off the coast of Peniche, it is an oasis rich in natural heritage, classified as a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
This ocean adventure takes you to explore part of the south coast of the island, showing you the best kept treasures, tunnels with more than 50m in length, dozens of small caves with crystal clear water (only accessible by swimming), with a contact very close with the local fauna.
A swim in the Seagull Island
We meet at the Peniche Marina, from where we will depart by boat towards the biggest island in the Berlengas archipelago.
Arriving at Berlenga Grande, we'll start our swimming adventure, swimming about 2km in direction to Cova do Sono, passing by places like Gruta Azul, Cabeça do Elefante and Furado Grande.
After this swim, we will have lunch on the island, followed by a short walk through the lighthouse and visit to the São João Baptista Fortress.
We will return to Peniche by boat at the end of the day.
