What you'll do
Enjoy a swimming holiday in salty water in Portugal and find out why the country is considered one of the true jewels of Europe.
On this trip, we will be based in the small village of São Brás de Alportel, the center of all our excursions by land and sea.
This will include walks with baths, to make the most of the surrounding place, always in the company of experienced guides and regional gastronomy.
Swimming at sunset
After arrival, we will swim at sunset on one of the largest beaches in the region.
At the end of the day, we will have dinner in a typical Portuguese restaurant.
Ponta da Piedade, the gateway to the adventure
Spend the morning swimming 3km and exploring the hidden caves of Lagos.
Following a typical Portuguese lunch, you will then get to witness Ponte De Piedade's breath taking views from the cliff top walk.
Discover the greatest sea cave in the Algarve
Experience this wonder of the Algarve on this unique 3km swim.
After a traditional Portuguese lunch in Carvoeiro, we will walk along the cliffs at Algar Seco, yet another Algarvean wonder.
The Hidden Paradise
During the morning we will swim along the coast from Alvor to Portimão, exploring this hidden gem of the Algarve coast.
Then we will take a walk along the Estuary in Alvor, the most important wetland system in the Algarve, an essential staging area for many wintering and migrant waterbirds.
Discovering lost treasures
The penultimate day of the trip is spent in Ilha do Farol.
In the water we will embrace an island that can be seen from a mile away.
After a lunch in the island, we will visit an abandoned site with the best sea view of the region.
A few hours from the end of our trip, we will say goodbye to the Atlantic Ocean, with another morning training session.
After one last toast, we’ll pack our bags and go back to the Faro Airport.

Steve Cordwell, English - 2020
My husband Steve, spent a long weekend with Andre and Pedro, he was so excited. Over this weekend, he got to swim at 3 places he's never visited before, he loved it. Exploring caves, pillars and bays in 16-17° water supported by Swim Together, what more would an open water swimmer want? It's given him so much motivation to find new places to swim in the magical Algarve.
